📅 When will the symposium be held?
The symposium will take place on 30–31 October 2025 at NILIS, University of Colombo. Day 1 includes the inauguration and paper presentations; Day 2 features workshops and panels.

📨 How can I submit an abstract or proposal?
Abstracts and proposals must be submitted through the online submission portal by 31 August 2025. An extended abstract must accompany every submission.

🧾 What will be published in the symposium proceedings?
Only the short abstracts of accepted oral/poster presentations, workshops, panels, and webinars (if opted in) will be published in the official electronic proceedings (ISSN: 2961-5658).

📚 Will University of Colombo abstracts appear elsewhere?
Yes. Abstracts with UoC academic staff as authors/co-authors will also be published in the University of Colombo Annual Research Symposium proceedings, as reprints (ISSN: 2815-0481).

💸 Is there a registration fee?
Yes. Fees vary by category. For example, local participants pay Rs. 3000; overseas participants pay USD 100. Those who have registered in any Library and Information Science course in Sri Lanka have to pay only Rs. 1000. There is a 20% reduction of cost for early bird registrations. 🏨 Will accommodation be arranged?
No, participants must make their own hotel reservations. However, the venue is centrally located, with many options nearby from budget to luxury hotels.

🌐 Can I participate online?
Overseas presenters may join online. Zoom links for virtual sessions will be sent to all registered online participants before the event.

🧑‍🏫 Can I organize a workshop or panel?
Yes. Workshop/panel proposals are welcome. If accepted, organizers must register, and an MoU will be signed with NILIS. Events may be free or fee-based. Use the submission form to propose your session.
