Call for Concept Papers for the Research Incubator Forum

The Research Incubator Forum 2025 invites submissions from independent researchers as well as postgraduate candidates in Library Science, Information Science, Information Management or Media Studies from recognized universities or higher education institutions.

This forum aims to foster a collaborative and supportive research environment by:

• Facilitating expert insights and mentorship to develop research
• Providing constructive feedback from peers and academics
• Encouraging the exchange of challenges and solutions in the research process
• Networking with prospective collaborators

Eligible Submissions

Participants are invited to submit a concept paper incorporating one or more of the following components:

• Ongoing research (research-in-progress)
• Conceptual frameworks
• Research questions and objectives
• Theoretical underpinnings and key literature
• Research methods or methodological approaches

A panel of experienced subject experts will provide constructive critique to help strengthen research design and execution.

Concept Paper Format

• Title of the research
• Name(s) of the presenter(s)
• Programme enrolled (PG Diploma / Master’s / MPhil / PhD) if applicable
• Affiliated institution
• Email address
• Mobile contact number
• Concept paper (500–1000 words), including:
  • Background and research objectives
  • Research question(s) or hypothesis
  • Review of key literature / theoretical foundation
  • Brief overview of methodology
  • Current status of research
  • Challenges encountered (if any)
• Keywords (3–5)
• Preferred language of submission: English / Sinhala / Tamil
• Supervisor’s name (if assigned)
