DIploma Awarding Ceremony Held

Diploma Awarding Ceremony was held on 07th February 2020 at the Lotus Hall of the BMICH.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Colombo attended as the Chief Guest of the event. NILIS Governing Board members, and Coordinators of Centers; Badulla, Colombo, Kandy, Kurunegala, and Ratnapura were also present. Nearly 300 Diploma students, who completed the Diploma in Public Librarianship (DPL), Diploma in School Librarianship (DSL), and the Intermediate Certificate in Library and Information Management (see below) obtained thier Diplomas.

NILIS recently aligned it’s course names according to the Sri Lanka Qualifications Framework (SLQF). Accordingly, the Preliminary Certificate in Library and Information Management (PLIM) was named as a Diploma.
