NILIS Research Symposium 2020: Challenges and Opportunities for Libraries in the New Normal

In partnership with ASIS&TNILIS Research Symposium, the annual 日本藤素
research event of NILIS will be held on 23rd January 2021 using online mode. This is organized in partnership with the South Asia Chapter of the Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T).

Fifty five (55) abstracts will be presented, selected from nearly 70 abstracts received.

Keynote speakerThe keynote address will be delivered by Professor Bhuva Narayan of the School of Communication, University of Technology Sydney, Australia.

The main theme of the symposium is “Challenges and Opportunities for Libraries in the New Normal”. There will be four key themes.

  • Information society, and librarianship
  • Information sources and services
  • IT Applications
  • Library services amidst the pandemic conditions

The NILIS Research Symposium will be 100% open and free for participants and presenters.

We are delighted to announce that around 50 abstracts have been selected to be presented. The authors have been informed.

The conference proceedings will be published as an e-book with an ISBN.

  • Author notification: 15.01.2021 (completed)
  • The first version of the presentation due: 17.01.2021
  • The final version of the presentation due: 18.01.2021
  • Symposium date: 23.01.2021
