Vacancy for a Technical Assistant in a Research Project

The National Institute of Library and Information Sciences (NILIS), University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, invites applications for a contractual position (fixed allowance: LKR 30000 monthly) to assist with a research project on “mobile financial literacy of senior citizens“. The appointment will commence immediately and will be for a duration of 4-5 months, with the potential for extension until the project’s completion. The successful candidate will be stationed at NILIS but may need to travel within the Western Province.

Age should be 18-35 years. The candidate is expected to possess a degree, diploma, or GCE A/L qualifications in a subject related to the research (for example Commerce stream in A/L), and be competent in handling digital apps & devices. Relevant knowledge & experience in banking & finance and proficiency in Sinhala/Tamil will be advantageous.

A walk-in interview will be held on 13th December 2024 from 09:00 to 12:00 at the NILIS, University of Colombo, Colombo 3.
