Support on Inventions by the Sri Lanka Inventors Commission (SLIC)

tors Commission (SLIC) in a recent communique with the Commissioner, Professor R.U. Halwatura’s signature informs that they have strengthened the system to support inventions, which directly relates ‘Fighting Against COVID-19’.

These can be:
1. Just an idea
2. Concept
3. Prototype
4. Finish product
5. Design

Whichever the stage is, the SLIC is going to support inventors in all possible ways to introduce that to the community, while ensuring the protection of intercultural property of their product/concept.

SLIC will support them on:
a. The patent documents
b. Finance them for testing (local/international)
c. Technical assistance
d. Provide financial assistance to buildup prototypes.
e. Provide grants/loans for start-ups
f. Support them to find out possible investors.
