NILIS has the following permanent staff members conducting teaching and research. In addition, there are nearly 50 visiting faculty members supporting the academic programs of NILIS.
Recognition
University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka has recognized NILIS as a higher education institution providing degrees. NILIS postgraduate degrees are awarded by the 'University of Colombo', a world recognised educational institution.
