NLDSB Circular on Safety of Staff
The following circular is on the NLDSB Web site (http://www.natlib.lk/our_services/covid19.php).
Arrange a sink with soap or hand sanitizer at the entrance of the library to clean hands before entering the library building.
- Use suitable face masks, and disposable gloves while working in the library.
- Use alcohol-based hand sanitizer to clean hands from time to time as water base solutions are not suitable for library materials.
- Clean tables, computer keyboards, and all other surfaces the staff may tough with a sanitizer.
- Open windows of the library to get maximum exposure to the sunlight (please note that overexposure to sunlight could be harmful to library materials).
- Safety procedure for library readers
- Use suitable face masks when you come to the library.
- Clean your hands by a hand sanitizer or soap at the entrance of the library if the library has provided them. Dry your hands by tissue paper before touching library materials.
- Bring a suitable bag to put the borrowed materials.
- Always wash your hands before reading library materials at home.
