It was the first stage of the Formalizing Program of Buddhist Monastic Libraries organized by the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.moe.gov.lk\/\">Ministry of Education<\/a>\u00a0in Sri Lanka and NILIS. Twenty-three participants attended the workshop. Retired Senior Lecturer of NILIS, Mr. P.G. Pemadasa and Mr. Uditha Alahakoon were the resource persons. Certificates were awarded by Director \u2013 NILIS, Mr. Prasanna Ranaweera and the Director of the School Library Development Unit of the Ministry of Education.
